What’s up everyone? Sorry for the delay in content posting. Things got really busy for all of us in the BluePrint family towards the end of the year and into the beginning of this year. You may have noticed Michigan Man Ray was on hiatus from his YouTube channel and Social Media until this past week.
Well all that is over and we are back, baby, and better than ever! You know what else is over? The 2017 Football season. Most of us are probably glad that’s the case and some of ya’ll just can’t get over it. When I’m on Social Media I see so much negativity, that this is more fact than opinion. Look, the season could have gone better, for sure, but it’s done, finito – let it go, it’s over with! There’s no need to keep hating on the team, sending negative tweets at coaches and players, sending negative vibes to Official Michigan Social Media accounts who are just doing their jobs. LET IT GO!
We will likely still have Tim Drevno at OC and Pep doing his thing in pretty close to if not the same role he had last year. Some of you are delusional thinking that Coach Harbaugh was going to completely revamp this offense and have some new scheme coming for 2018. That was all fake news ya’ll.
Yes, there have been many staff changes made, including some guys who could help add some wrinkles here and there, some influence on play calling style, etc. but what ya’ll have to realize is that this is Harbaugh’s offense and always will be. Plus how could we ever develop any continuity if we are continuing to turn the staff over, more than we already do?
These guys know they need to do a better job and you’ve seen several other changes that have been made that will lead to improvements – trust me. I’ll cover the reasons why I’m optimistic about the future of this team in 2018, in an upcoming article but I wanted to get something out quick, just to let you guys know BluePrint is back!
Before I close out, I just want to reiterate that as fans, we are emotional – some of us more than others. I get it. Please just realize that it is not a good look at all when our own fan base bashes our own team. Recruits see it. They care. Players see it. They care. Coaches see it. They care. While players and coaches can use some of the negativity as motivation to improve, and likely see truth in some of the comments, it just doesn’t look or feel good when the comments are not just critical but are hateful and in poor taste, coming from the people who are supposed to support you in good times and in bad. A fair-weather fan finds no trouble supporting in the good times but when things go bad, their true colors are exposed.
Just being honest here, some of you guys and gals have some ugly true colors, just saying. I may have even had to block a few of you on Twitter and it takes a lot for me to actually block someone, especially fellow Michigan fans.
Of course as fans, we have the right to criticize and say whatever we want but if you feel like you are truly a fan and a part of the team in that regard, live by the words of Bo Schembechler – the words we know very well:
“We want the Big Ten championship and we’re gonna win it as a Team. They can throw out all those great backs, and great quarterbacks, and great defensive players, throughout the country and in this conference, but there’s gonna be one Team that’s gonna play solely as a Team. No man is more important than The Team. No coach is more important than The Team. The Team, The Team, The Team, and if we think that way, all of us, everything that you do, you take into consideration what effect does it have on my Team? Because you can go into professional football, you can go anywhere you want to play after you leave here. You will never play for a Team again. You’ll play for a contract. You’ll play for this. You’ll play for that. You’ll play for everything except the team, and think what a great thing it is to be a part of something that is, The Team. We’re gonna win it. We’re gonna win the championship again because we’re gonna play as team, better than anybody else in this conference, we’re gonna play together as a team. We’re gonna believe in each other, we’re not gonna criticize each other, we’re not gonna talk about each other, we’re gonna encourage each other. And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know, it’s gonna be Michigan again, Michigan.” – Glenn Edward “Bo” Schembechler Jr.
That’s it for now, everyone. I hope you enjoy the new site design and logo. Also make sure you subscribe to Michigan Man Ray’s YouTube channel which you can find on our home page and also on the Media section of the site.
