Michigan-SMU highlights by Wolverine Devotee
A very annoying game. Would’ve been 56-7 if not for the horrendous calls during this game that kept SMU in it. All but one of their TDs were aided by first downs via penalty.
7 first downs given up by penalty is a new Michigan single game record. The previous was 5 way back in 1966 against Ohio State (a 17-3 Michigan win)

With all of that said, The Team did their job again against a team they were supposed to clobber. This Saturday is another one those teams and another test to see improvement upon last year. Michigan has outscored opponents in B1G openers 105-20 under Coach Harbaugh and faces an 0-2 Nebraska team whose starting QB may or may not play. If not, they’ll be starting a walk on who was bad in their loss to a Sun Belt team this past weekend. If they do start the aforementioned Adrian Martinez, they’ll be starting a wounded true freshman QB in their first road game of the season.
Don’t get it twisted. Michigan has far more to prove than Nebraska on Saturday.
Also: here are the highlights from the previous week’s game against Western Michigan. Didn’t get a chance to throw them up on the site but you can find them here at The Blueprint Blog from now on exclusively.
