Where Michigan fans get it in!

Many people were expecting 78-0 part 2, but given that was the most points any Michigan team had scored since 1939 when Tom Harmon was playing people should just appreciate the history they saw in 2016. That does not happen often.

Michigan took care of business on the road against a horrible team, exactly what championship teams need to do after 3 straight big wins over ranked opponents.

Shea Patterson had his second 250-yard game of his Michigan career/season in this one with 260. Michigan clearly had a gameplan of keeping him out of danger and did just that with Shea having zero rushing attempts in this game and was sacked zero times (great job, OL!).

Some other stats from this game-

Very nice on the latter statistic. Check back here during the week for a feature on the late great Ron Johnson.

We saw a lot of RPO in this one. Possibly getting ready for The Game in two weeks. But let me forewarn everyone: DON’T TAKE THIS NEXT OPPONENT LIGHTLY. No matter the coach, this matchup has always been a tight one. Michigan needs to be on its A game this week against a hungry opponent and cannot afford to look ahead.

Michigan did a great job against Rutgers not looking ahead and playing well. It must continue at The Big House on Senior Day on Saturday.
